The Foundation’s main objectives are to undertake and support wildlife research and protection, with secondary objectives being to promote indigenous African environmentalism, and to promote the concept of wildlife corridors to link protected areas. The ongoing Knysna Elephant Research Project, now in its seventh year, as well as the recently established Southern Cape Coastal Leopard Project, represents the primary wildlife studies and advocacy work of the GPWF. See below how you can support these two projects, which are uncovering important new information and new understanding about the elusive Knysna elephants (the world’s most southerly elephants) and divulging previously unknown data about coastal leopards.
